Lhading Goenpa was established by a great Tertoen Taksham- a great saint from sakya sect. Lhading Goenpa was 746 years old today. It is located at Paro district, 10 km away from Drugyel Dzong. The name Lhading is came to its existence after the tertoen found the gyalwa rignga (5 jinas) floated over the lake that was believed to be there underneath the lhakhang today. The main relic of the lhakhang is 200cm long mithrugpa Buddha (akshobhya) who is believed to be voice arose on e..It is not really explored because of it geographic terrain. And on they way to the lhakhang there is also a chorten built by the Devine Madman. It is believed that the chorten was built within a day. It was saying that on verge of completion, the sun was about to set and the Lama hold the sun with iron hook to complete the construction of chorten. Who was Dungsam Ja Drungpa? Not even the name of Dungsam Ja Drungpa is known, forget about his life and family.
